1.Metal-Clad Withdrawable AC Switchgear (Generally referred to as KYN28 for 10kV level):
This cabinet type is the most commonly used 10kV cabinet at the current stage. It can be configured with vacuum circuit breakers such as VS1, VD4, ZN78, etc., according to the requirements of the electrical primary system diagram, to be used as equipment protection cabinets. It is also utilized as high-voltage metering cabinets, PT cabinets, station transformer cabinets, and isolation cabinets. The standard dimensions for this cabinet are 800mm wide, 2360mm high, and 1500mm deep (for cable inlet) or 1660mm deep (for overhead line inlet).
2.Ring Main Unit (RMU):
This cabinet type is also a commonly used 10kV cabinet (rated current 630A and below). It is equipped with load switches such as FZN, FLN, FN, along with high-voltage fuses, or the installation of GN24 isolating knives, VS1 (VD4, ZN78, etc.) series circuit breakers, microcomputer protection, etc., to provide protection for downstream equipment. It can also be configured as high-voltage metering cabinets, PT cabinets, and isolation cabinets. There are numerous series and variations of this cabinet type, with dimensions ranging from 400mm to 1000mm wide, 1800mm to 2200mm high, and 900mm to 1000mm deep.
3.Fixed Cabinet:
Although this cabinet type is still in use, it is not the mainstream distribution cabinet due to its large size (standard dimensions 1200×1200×2650). It is commonly seen in modified forms, used in 10kV high-voltage reactive power compensation cabinets, high-voltage soft starter cabinets, high-voltage inverter cabinets, etc. When used as a distribution cabinet, it typically has GN series high-voltage isolating knives installed at the top and bottom, with vacuum circuit breakers such as VS1, VD4, ZN78 in the middle. In reactive power compensation cabinets, it is equipped with vacuum contactors, high-voltage capacitors, reactors, arc suppression coils, etc. For high-voltage soft starter cabinets and inverter cabinets, it installs controllable silicon components and their control circuits.
