The 2500 kVA Energy Efficient Distribution Transformer Maintenance:


1.Oil Temperature Inspection:

When measuring the 2500 kVA Energy Efficient Distribution transformer oil temperature, a specialized oil surface thermometer is required, as it is specifically designed for measuring the transformer oil surface temperature. Typically, the alarm threshold for this thermometer is around 85 degrees. When it reaches approximately 97 degrees, it can cause the equipment to trip, and it will transmit oil surface issues to the digital display in the control room.

 

2.Breather:

2500 kVA Energy Efficient Distribution Transformers may experience oil expansion due to environmental changes and long-term operation, causing the oil in the equipment to expand and release gases through the breather. This breathing process helps remove impurities from the air, ensuring that the insulating properties of the transformer oil are maintained. If the silica gel in the breather remains blue, it indicates effective moisture absorption. However, if the silica gel turns red, it signifies a significant reduction in moisture-absorbing efficiency, requiring replacement or drying.

 

3.Oil Level Check:

The purpose of the 2500 kVA Energy Efficient Distribution transformer's oil conservator is to accommodate the volume changes of the transformer oil within the oil tank, providing a container connected to the transformer's oil tank. Oil levels in the conservator or other containers can be checked by examining the oil level indicator. Additionally, the oil level in the conservator should match the temperature indicated on the oil level curve plate. If the oil level is too low, faults causing oil loss should be addressed, and new qualified oil should be added.

 

4.Gas Relay:

The gas relay is a significant protective device for detecting internal faults in oil immersed transformers and on load tap changers. When faults inside the transformer lead to the decomposition of oil and the generation of gases or oil flow turbulence, the gas relay's contacts actuate, triggering a designated control circuit. This promptly signals or automatically disconnects the transformer.

 

5.Pressure Relief Valve:

Pressure relief valves are crucial for rapid pressure release within the 2500 kVA Energy Efficient Distribution transformer oil tank in the event of a sudden increase in pressure due to unforeseen accidents. Effective and timely pressure relief is essential to prevent the deformation or rupture of the oil tank. The pressure relief valve opens rapidly when the pressure inside the tank reaches its set point. It efficiently reduces the internal pressure. Conversely, when the pressure drops to the preset closing value, the pressure relief valve safely and reliably closes, effectively keeping out external contaminants and moisture.

 

6.Grounding Principles for Power Transformers:
